Fisgard Asset Management is pleased to announce that Dawn Paniz has been elected President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the British Columbia MIC Management Association. BCMMA is an association that represents the interests of twenty-three Mortgage Investment Corporations. The association’s main objectives are to facilitate the exchange of information and ideas with the goal of assisting members in the management of their organizations, to present a common voice to regulators and others in an effort to protect their interests and further understanding of the industry, and to uphold industry standards for ethics and professionalism. BCMMA also keeps abreast of professional lending and investment trends and the requirements of regulatory authorities such as the British Columbia Financial Institutions Commission and the British Columbia Securities Commission.
Dawn, a proud mother of four daughters, is a qualified Dealing Representative of an Exempt Market Dealer, a Compliance Officer, Mortgage Broker, Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice-President (Investment Markets) of Fisgard Asset Management in Victoria. She has been with Fisgard for twenty years and is responsible for financial controls governing over 3,500 investor accounts, 400 mortgage accounts and all audit procedures and securities reporting.
